This is a nice, early one that is Made in Japan. Later versions are "Crafted" in Japan and the current ones are Made in Mexico. Of course, you have the USA versions but that's another thing altogether! This is a really good-sounding and playing one with a few playing nicks & scuffs on the body that don't break the color. The quality of this bass harks back to the Fuji-gen plant which was the pinnacle of Japanese lutherie. I guess what I'm trying to say is that players will rejoice owning a bass like this, annoyingly fussy 'collectors', not so much. The neck is perfectly straight with virtually no fret wear and I'll re-emphasize the satisfying tone. Weighs just 9 1/2 lbs and comes in a nice hard case.
